I AM DISTRAUGHT AT THE ABSURDLY HIGH CONCENTRATION OF REPUBLICANS ON THIS CAMPUS.
i thought i was in college. where's all that tolerance and experimentation i expected? i can't take it. something must be done. these people are idiots. absolute idiots. i see a classmate drive by with a 'w' sticker on their back bumper, and that's it, fuck them, dead to me. and you know republicans never know their shit. they were told to be republicans and they fell in line. they're just hypocrites sucking on the financial teet of their parents. i can walk up to a liberal and ask them why they're a liberal and they defend themselves intelligently. republicans? '...umm er well uh...freedom?' fuck that shit and fuck this student body.
i really wish the campus democrats group were more active. like having weekly meetings, staging letter writing campaigns, harassing people, forcing them to think about what they're doing to the world. i should just form my own group. good god, let's do something. just go around at night ripping off the 'w' stickers. anything.
i think a weekly meeting would be a good idea.
kristina is great and all. no ill will against her as a president, but i want us to be more active. if we harrass people, fine. some students need to be bothered. makes them think. and i think i'm not alone in my liberal tenacity. i've spoken to several professors on my dreams of geurilla-plastering the campus with alarming anti-bush facts and images, and they were all into it. or on the safe side, we could meet more often and each write a letter to a senator or representative on a state issue - those goddamn "choose life" license plates for one. maybe i can be president or vice president of the group next year. i'm not sure how to go about gwtting the position though. are you a junior?
and yeah, if we did have a weekly meeting, it would mos def be at night.
hey! don't you have my art history class with kathleen spies? well i'm confused.
is our exam tuesday the 8th or thursday the 10th?
If there were weekly meetings I would definetly come. I totally agree with the fact that Democrats/liberals should have a louder voice on this campus. We need to start meeting, making signs, writing articles in the Hilltop News. Something. I'm tired of sitting on my fat ass just being disgusted with people, and this school's conservative Christian BS. How do we get this organized?
you should join the official bsc "college democrats" group. andy [see above] and i are both in it. you email kristian and say "hey let me in. my name is ____________ ______ " and that's it. here's her email:
you'll be sent the mass email if the group plans to meet or have a cultural event. all we did this semester though is meet once after the election to sulk and then we were responsible for the artur davis thing. i want to be vice pres or something of it next year and that's when i plan on having weekly or bimonthly meetings and being really agressive on campus. but even if the group isn't doing much right now, it always sounds great on a resume for work or school.
but as for being active this semester? either we can just meet on our own, geurilla-style. i'd like to go around campus late at night and put up printed out pictures of dead soldiers from iraq, since bush is trying to prevent the dead from getting and coverage; makes him look bad. most of them are under 20, and it might make some of these dumbasses think if they see the faces and see the names. they'll be torn down, but i'd put more up at night. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/world/iraq/casualties/facesofthefallen.htm
you can see the faces here, which is where i got the idea. use the drop-down menu with the dates and there are just more and more and more...
but yeah, you should officially join for now. i'm going to get something going here. i want our group to do crazy shit...i'm glad both of you are interested.
